What it takes to run Automation OS at your operating unit

Automation OS runs on the Microsoft tools most Quanta operating units already have. Setting it up is less about software and more about picking the first task and agreeing what it is worth.

What you need

  • Microsoft 365 and an Azure subscription for your unit.
  • One developer who runs the build tools and reviews what the AI produces.
  • An operations owner who decides which tasks come first and signs how long each one takes by hand today.

The five steps

  1. Pick one task that repeats every week and eats office or field time.
  2. Agree what an hour of that task is worth and write it down.
  3. Describe the task in plain English and let AI build the first version on a test copy of your data.
  4. Have a person review it, then switch it on behind company sign-in.
  5. Read the hours it returns each month and pick the next task.

What it costs

The Microsoft licenses you already hold, Azure hosting for the app, and AI usage billed as it is used. There is no software to buy and no seat count to negotiate.
